Halloween is a great excuse for family fun! Halloween yard decoration ideas and funny or scary costumes are on everyone’s mind. Everyone loves to dress up and decorating your home, inside and out, can bring lots of team work and laughter to your family. In other words, you will be making memories! Fun memories.
Halloween yard decoration ideas are easy to find and easy to use. All you have to do is pick one of the many Halloween yard decorating themes and delight your children by turning your home into a scary haunted house. Open up those packed away Halloween decorations and props. You remember that big, old hairy spider or the garbage bag ghosts you all made last year. Did you pack away the orange lights and the other holiday accessories.
Halloween yard decoration ideas can include spider webs, witches, ghosts, vampire teeth, witches hats and even lights. You can find a projector that puts some great shapes and colors on your house, you can create a grave yard in front of your house, or you can make a pumpkin patch right on your front lawn.
One of my favorite Halloween yard decoration ideas is the Front Yard Cemetery. You can make tombstones out of cardboard or foam. All you will need is some paint, gray and black, and some markers. You can also find reasonably priced tombstones and there are some great animated props to make your
grave yard the best on the block.
Lights, tombstones, zombies, ghosts, vampires, bones, spider webs and a spooky fog machine can put a little fun holiday fear into the hearts of even the most stout-hearted.
Don’t forget the CD for some really fun sound effects to complete your scary scene.
You can drive around the week before Halloween to see the other scary displays in your neighborhood. Some people put up a wonderful display, and you can get ideas from them.Seeing all those holiday decorations will be sure to put your family in a great holiday mood. Some people actually let people in to see the haunted house they have made. We live near several huge decorators who deck the halls with all sorts of Halloween lights and decorations, but they don’t let people in. That would be fun!
Decide which Halloween theme decorations you’d like to use, go through what you have and make a list of what you need. Make it or buy your Halloween decorating supplies, this is a fun family project that will become a tradition. You can look forward to years of Halloween fun with your family. Look for some great money saving sales right after Halloween. You may find a scary prop that was too expensive to buy, on sale at a very cheap price. Buy it and pack it up to use next year, when you make a bigger display than this year!
